Grumpy, It's Your Birthday. Happy Birthday, Grumpy.

Today is Grumpy's birthday. Man, is he old.

Anyway, he didn't get breakfast in bed, poor sod. But I did make him a cake last night. And I popped Violet Crumbleruff up on the bench to help. Oh those paws of hers got right in there and stirred away at this bowl of mixture and that.

Come on, now. You don't think I was serious? As if I'd ever let the cat sit up on the kitchen bench. But, geez, I hope she gives herself a good clean today. That cake mix seems to have really crusted itself on.

Tonight we're meeting Bloody Ern & Bezley at Kailis's for dinner. Because what could be better on your birthday than fish and chips with your in-laws? Wheeeeeeee!

I wondered how long it would be until this blog turned into a musical.

Aw, a cake made with love by both his girls. What could be better than that? ;-)

Probably a store-bought one.

Was it that bad?

Oh, and I don't think this blog is a musical so much as an episode of The Simpsons.

Yes, but how many episodes of The Simpsons are musicals these days?

BTW, very impressed with your know-how in getting those italics into the comments section.

Cut/paste from another source? Or some other cunning method?

Grump, you can use some HTML tags within the comment. I just put the "em" and "/em" tags around the words I want in italics. (You need the angle brackets too, but I can't show you those or it would be interpreted as HTML and the "and" would be in italics, like this: and .)

Oh, of course.

HTML tags. So simple, yet so easy to overlook.

Thank you, grasshopper
