We had a swim at the beach. I stupidly forgot my bathers and had to go in the water fully clothed. Going in in just my underwear would have violated the hospitality I'd been shown. I try to be considerate of others - particularly when it comes to preserving my dignity.
The day was still and muggy, and the water was cold and clear and refreshing.
"Well, that's my shower taken care of," said BG's friend as we floated on the swell.
"Not to mention my laundry," I added.
