A Bloody Ern Moment

On the way home The Antiquer wanted to pull into Myalup to see something that he thought might be there. I forget what it was, and anyway we didn't find it. Don't worry about it; it's not important to the story.

Neither of us had been to Myalup before and as we dropped down into the little hamlet, with the dunes and the ocean behind it, both of us were charmed. There was a small caravan park on one side of the road and a blue and white "beach shop" on the other. Someone waved to us as we drove down to the beach and as we drove back.

"Well," I said to The Antiquer, "Myalup is quite the little gem.....And when I say gem, I do mean rhinestone."

I love Myalup, it is really still a lovely little fishing/beach town - one advantage of the "New Austerity" (otherwise known as the global economic freakout) is that perhaps it won't be turned into an OTT massive mcmansion spawning fields for at least a little while...
