Conversations with Myself

"Ooh, frozen yoghurt. Yummo!"

"You know what Ern would say - 'bucket of fat'."

"No, look, 98% fat-free."

"Yeah, and all the taste comes from sugar."

"But it says low GI. Surely that would mean not much sugar? Wouldn't it? I don't know about these things."

"So it's full of fake sugar."

"Skinniness guaranteed but you're diagnosed with Alzheimer's at 45!"

"Let's do it."

The question that has been really bothering me of late is when did low fat foods become referred to as 'Lite'. Why do these marketeers think they can spell the correct word Light incorrectly and why does the general population just accept this blight on our shelves?
