Seen

In a baby goods shop, a line of clothing - for Mother - under the brand 'boob'.

Each 'o' had a little dot in it!

Not sure how I feel about that actually. It's a bit more frank than the hippyish earth mother "Ripe" and "Seed" lines I've seen but not as cutely jaunty as "Up the Duff".

I haven't actually seen "Bun in the Oven" but I'm sure it's a matter of time.

I guess the crucial question really is whether all the trousers are held up by hideous 15 cm black elastic bands.

Oh Mary, I LOVE maternity trousers. The jeans, with their stretch-fabric front, are the best!

But Boob? Another word for fool indeed...

My objection is mostly that in 35 degree heat with 95 per cent humidity that much elastic isn't nice. But only alternatives seem to be wrap around ties that risk becoming undone at inconvenient moments or hiding at home in pyjamas.

Having just had a rather revolting bacon, tomato and pizza "sub"* for lunch, I could do with some comfortable pants that had a stretchy panel at the front.

*Sub? Torpedo more like.

I should clarify that the boob (pls fill in own dots) range, consists it seems of only tops that allow for easier breats feeding.

I hate it when I put a comma where it doesn't belong.

That makes me laugh, being exactly the clientele that brand had in mind. But then I've already seen onesies that say "boob man" and others I don't care to post online . . .

(Have I purchased any such item? Well, that's a different story altogether. I chose to smile demurely in the store and continue brousing.)
