On Yer Marks

As we sped down the highway to the Wagin Woolorama last weekend, Grumpy and I were marvelling at the number of small Australian towns that have mustered up the money to build a 50m pool and then put a big sign out the front telling everyone it's that town's Olympic pool.

I love the idea that if every recognised Olympic venue in the world simultaneously went cactus, swimming gold medals could still be handed out in Dumbleyung.

"having to tolerate a shortage of fresh water, finance, medical supplies and loneliness"

How sad to have a shortage of loneliness.

Karen, yes, no child should live in poverty, or without loneliness.

TB - have taken the shot on a previous visit to Wagin town. He's quite the manly beast.
