Weekend Bits

The Burp organised a day out for some girls last Sunday. The Rooster (was) volunteered to drive the bus and Grumpy went along to keep him company. They sat up the front and farted and listened to the footy - you know, crazy good times.

It was a delightful day out. We stopped at a winery where The Burp proceeded to share her recently acquired knowledge on wine, including something about wine having 'legs'. Someone came bounding up to her and asked, with a very anxious face, "Is it good to have legs?"

Carrington was also along for the ride and we found out that we share a mutual passion for Mr Whippy, that we eat our Picnics and Peppermint Crisps the same way, and that we are both repulsed by baby octopus that still has the saccy body attached. Eeeeeee!

Carrington won mini golf. Walking back from the putt-putt course someone mentioned Tom Cruise - I think it was me. I took this as my cue to rant at everyone for five minutes about the evils of Scientology. That was a real highlight of the day and it really got people thinking about how glad they were to have me along.

On the subject of golf, I learned that Jefferson, Burp and Rooster's older son, has a startling bit of information to share: if ever you've lost your golf balls, don't despair - as you hunt around in the undergrowth just remember this: you're looking for something about the size of a Stegosaurus brain.
