New Girl was browsing for shoes, picking up one perilously high-heeled pair after another. She tried one lot on.

"Whaddya think?"

"I think they look painful. Can you imagine going to a party or something and you have to stand around for hours in those?"

"That's why so many women end up on their backs at parties - high heels!"

That must be where I'm going wrong. I favour Skechers or going unshod. Obviously it makes it so much more difficult to sweep me off my feet.
