I went out to get something to wear to New Girl's wedding, which is on Sunday. I was just looking for a dress, or even a top to wear with some pants I already own.
My first mistake was to let New Girl come with me.
The girl has an eye for these things. And then we ran into a lady in one of the shops with an eye (for these things). And both of them have very persuasive manners.
And my second mistake was to let my credit card come with me.
Anyhoo, these days it's only the cats who can give me a disdainful look, which they surely will when they see the poor quality cat food they'll be eating for the next few weeks.
It's always the innocents who suffer.
