It really was a very delicious hot dog

Yesterday I joined The Antiquer and his mate Chook at the West Coast Blues 'n' Roots Music Festival. (No links because I'm down to dial-up speed and can't be bothered.) Grumpy was there too but he had a free pass and access to unlimited free booze so he wasn't hanging round with us plebs.

It was a terrific day - Kasey Chambers, Eskimo Joe, G Love and Special Sauce, Jools Holland and John Fogerty. Plus we all had sombreros, courtesy The Antiquer, who loves to be Sun Smart.

During a break in the music we staggered off looking for something to eat. The Antiquer was eyeing off a burger. I counselled against it as the chances were it'd been sitting in the sun all day. I urged upon him the hot dog like I was having. It's fake meat! Not even the lowly parasite will grow on fake meat! But he had to have the burger. He mentioned later that he seemed to strike the occasional raw patch as he chomped his way through.

I got a text message from him this morning:

burger trouble here
