Grumpy just got me to sit through some horrendous and disturbing crap on 60 Minutes to do with surrendered wives.
"Will you be my submissus?" he asked. "Can that be the model for our marriage?"
"I prefer the old model for our marriage."
"What was that?"
"That scene from Manhattan Murder Mystery where Diane Keaton is walking out the door and Woody Allen is asking, 'Is this what you do when I forbid you?'"

They must be some pretty pathetic so-called 'men' not to be able to cope with a wife who is their equal. What a bunch of losers.
...well there I was thinking you'd let a wide typo (surrendered) slip through to the wicket keeper. But no, not our Hazel, she holds the English language in the palm of her hand and can spin it like Warnie on diet pills. So being the good submister that I am,I asked my wife for permission to google it and sure enoughski I found my way to

To quote my dad. "F&%K my brown dog" I presume it's the same thing being discussed on 60 minutes. While perusing the website I was especially taken by point 4.
(Trust their husbands in every aspect of marriage - from sexual to financial...and more.) Now that's one for the wedding vows!

Don't. Please don't.
Don't you think we may be over-analysing this well-meaning submissus craze?
If all they were saying was that man should be lord of the loungeroom, regal of the remote, and baron of the bedroom, who could possibly have a problem with that?
