I was lying in my motel room one evening watching TV, too lazy to even take the 5 minute walk into Manuka for some dinner, when an ad came on for Kingsley's Chicken. Mmmm, fried chicken and crinkle-cut chips. Now I had an appetite. If only I had a car so I could scoot out and get some of that yummy Kingsley's that I remembered so well.
I was glad to see they're still using the same tag line: "Unbelievable value! Awesome chips!"
Only now the voiceover guy says it with a pathetic attempt at an American accent. I don't know about the rest of Canberra, but it sounded to me like Kingsley's chicken is "unbelievable value!" with "arsesome chips!"
Turns out I was quite happy just to dig into my tub of yoghurt.
