My apologies to my thousands of readers as I send a message to k. and d., incommunicado lo these many months in Ghana:
k., I have now spoken to your mother more times this year than you have (ie, once). Please leave a message here telling me that (a) you and d. and bubba t. are well and thriving, and (b) that you got my birthday message.
(k. had a birthday on 4 January, folks. Happy birthday to k.!)
Isn't it exciting that in 2007 people still live in places without reliable phone or internet connections, and can't even be reached by mail? Exciting and adventurous and totally maddening in this day of instant communication.

So this is the first opportunity I have had to harangue my beloved D into taking me i nto his office to do emailing etc. So sorry, yes is ok, many thanks for kind thoughts!!!
don't know when we will be home again next, hopefully not before too long and I will send you a proper reply some time in the next eon.
Thank you, I feel much better and hope you do too.
