Last week there was, somewhat understandably, a degree of consternation amongst certain sections of the Western Australian public at the return to our wonderful state of a convicted paedophile; particularly at the prospect that he might be paroled and living in suburbs where ankle biters so often also live.
Protestors were out in force when he touched down at Perth Airport and again when he arrived at Casuarina Prison. The crowd, which started out as an angry mob but veered perilously close to a lynching party, included kids - because, you know, the children.
And I thought it was a particularly good idea for one lot of angry parents to drag their child from school to attend a protest when I saw that the little blighter was holding a sign that read:
WHY WASN'T WE TOLD?
