They were discussing that great history documentary that had been on TV last night, "Secrets of the Da Vinci Code".
He: blah blah...And it's a bit strange and ironical, of course, because then the Jews killed Jesus.
She: (hesitant) Oh, yes...did they? Was...wasn't it the Romans? I always thought it was the Romans?
He: The Romans?
She: Mmmm.
He: No - they were Christians remember.

Don't you just love it? And I think, to the casual observer, the sight of you sitting in the seat behind them, looking transfixedly out the window and trying not to crack up, would have been equally delightful.
