Yesterday evening Grumpy and I were enjoying a meal at Bibik Chan's* - Malaysian cuisine in a Mock Tudor building; who could ask for more in life? - when Grumpy pointed across the road to an old man shuffling along. He was well-dressed in a shirt and pants, which ballooned to amply accommodate his fat old man bottom and little round gut, and he was a bit hunched over as he pushed his little vinyl shopping trolley along. In short, he was the perfect oldie. But he had one extra feature that pushed me right over the edge into euphoria: attached to his belt, and dotted around his trolley, were little flashing red lights - so no one would run him over in the dark as he slowly made his way home with his shopping! Heavenly!
Oldie, wherever you are now and whatever you're doing, I love you mightily. But, sweet thing, please try to get your shopping done in the daylight hours. It's much more sensible for one as decrepit as you.
*I only enjoyed it until it dawned on me that it was all a ruse to keep me from getting home in time to watch Neighbours. Fortunately, I didn't miss a minute of My Restaurant Rules. That will all be over on Sunday and I can put this shameful episode of addiction to reality TV behind me. Neighbours is another matter. That's quality - feeeel the width.

HBB,
Talking about Mock Tudor, did you catch the cantilivered swimming pool house at Mullaloo (that we were blogging about a few months back) on yesterday's re-run of 'Debra Hutton's Fantabulous Houses'?
BTW what was the food at bibik chan's like? Did you enjoy that part of your evening out and would you recommend it as a good choice? Thanks in advance.
