So the Circus Joseph Ashton is in town.
The Big Top is parked down on Riverside Drive and there are posters at bus stops all over town advertising the show. The posters feature a picture of one of those appealing circus folk - her face charmingly, and not at all creepily, caked with grease paint - and stars all around her head proclaiming the attractions of the circus.
Just in case you need to be reminded of the stereotypes of desperation and luridness lurking beneath the maniacally jaunty facade, one star promotes:
WHEEL OF DEATH! CRAZY CLOWNS!
Perhaps they could have a giant movie screen running 'It' at the same time. The kiddies would lap it up.
