I was in a boring seminar the other day and I realised if I left right then I'd be free and I'd be half a chance to make it to McDonald's for some brekky. It was your classic win-win situation.
I am ashamed. But also? I just love those peppery sausage McMuffins.
[Prithee, when is McDonald's going to observe other dining trends and offer the all-day breakfast?]
Anyway, I arrived, panting and eager, at the nearest outlet and got stuck behind a gentlemen ordering quite the suite of items for his morning repast. He also took the time to explain to the disinterested Macca's chickie-babe his particular love for each item. He ordered the pancakes, or whatever they're called, and he ordered two McMuffins and a couple of hash browns. "Yep, I've got a big appetite this morning," he said.
Then he ordered his coffee and as the girl wandered off to get it he called after her, "Don't worry about the sugar, love. I'm diabetic."

At least he didn't say 'cos I'm sweet enough'.
But seriously, how much does your average retail/McEmployee need to know? I'm probably guilty of giving a bit too much context in my purchasing conversations from time to time.
Its about avoiding those uncomfortable silences,
and better than making some other small talk.
But it's probably more about making sure they understand why you're buying something. You wouldn't want them thinking you were weird or anything.
Yes, um... its for a friend... my mum really likes this sort of thing...
McDonald's breakfast is quite amazing. Actually, they experimented with the McDonald's Diner. Of course, if you aren't from New Jersey, [Diner Capitol of the world], you may not understand that a Diner, by definition, is open 24 hours a day and offers breakfast. And usually serves alcohol. Now if McDonalds did that, they would be unbeatable.
