At yesterday's meeting 'going forward' was used a trifling three times. Barely rates mentioning, really. It gladdened my heart that such a vile and pointless phrase was out of vogue on this particular day, but it also filled me with dread because:
(a) now I will have to find something else to make me feel superior to all these twits; and
(b) a new and equally, if not more, dastardly word must rise up to take its place, and this dreadful sound will ring through meeting rooms across the land (though this would at least solve the problem of (a)).
